When using standard Macintosh- or Adobe-encoded fonts, it is possible to keep the U.S.-OldEnglish keyboard loaded; most characters are associated with the expected keys (including dead-keys). A few keys have been reassigned to new character codes, with the effect that some characters are not accessible via the usual keystrokes. These are available on different keys:

Description	U.S.-OE	U.S. Std
dagger	Op-k	Op-t
partialdiff	Op-Sh-n	Op-d
integral	Op-Sh-m	Op-b
guilsingleleft	Op-Sh-.	Op-Sh-3

Some accent-only characters are not accessible from the U.S.-OldEnglish keyboard. Those who need these characters should either switch temporarily to a different keyboard or use a facility like the MS Word "Insert symbol" command.
